In the 1988 Canadian sci-fi horror "The Brain," a seemingly benign self-help TV show, "Independent Thinking," hosted by Dr. Blake, becomes the epicenter of a sinister plot. Unbeknownst to its viewers, the show is a front for brainwashing and mind control, facilitated by an alien organism known as The Brain. High school student Jim Majelewski, known for his clever pranks and vibrant imagination, finds himself immune to Dr. Blake's manipulative experiments. As bizarre visions and hallucinations besiege him, Jim, along with his girlfriend Janet and best friend Willie, embarks on a perilous journey to dismantle Dr. Blake's nefarious scheme. Their small town's fate hangs in the balance as they confront the monstrous Brain, leading to a climactic showdown where courage and quick thinking are their only weapons.
