The Evil of Frankenstein (1964) is the third installment in Hammer Films’ celebrated Frankenstein series. Directed by Freddie Francis, this atmospheric horror tale follows Baron Victor Frankenstein as he returns to his hometown of Karlstaad to revive his experiments in the art of reanimation. Aided by his loyal assistant, Hans, and encountering a young, deaf-mute woman along the way, Victor uncovers his original creation frozen in ice. As he works to restore life to the creature, Victor enlists the help of a hypnotist with ulterior motives, leading to chaos, betrayal, and destruction. With compelling performances, including Peter Cushing as the determined Baron and Kiwi Kingston as the monstrous creation, this film blends gothic settings and suspenseful storytelling, showcasing Hammer's signature style of horror.
